Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail

Thought I’d managed to weasel out of doing this but Neil’s got this ability to completely ignore what I say and shame me into doing stuff (always exercise) that I don’t want to do.

Big bits of wood

Drove to Smythesdale (cakeless) and cycled from there to Linton (caramel slice in glad wrap but better than nothing).

The rail trail was great – a bit eroded in parts due to flooding but still do-able. Another beautiful day, cycling through avenues of autumnal trees and clouds of butterflies.

Coming back we had the wind against us which was a bit of a struggle but all in all, a lovely way to spend a few hours.
